How Server Renewal Works

To efficiently manage resources, fps.ms utilizes a Renewal System for free servers. This system eliminates the need to wait in a queue to access your server by allowing you to manually extend your server’s uptime.

How does Renewal work?

When you create a Free server through fps.ms your server comes deployed with a Expiry Timer on the main page. This date on the Expiry Timer indicates when the free server will go into a suspended state.

What is a "Suspended" state?

When a server enters the suspended state:
  • It becomes inactive.
  • You will not be able to access your server files, settings, or perform any operations on it.
  • The server is not deleted, but temporarily inaccessible.
To reactivate the server, simply click the “+ Add XX Hours” button. This will renew your server by the specified number of hours and extend its expiry time, restoring full access.

What happens if i don't Renew my server?

From the moment your server goes into a suspended state, your files will be kept for the next 28 days. If you do not renew your server in that time, your files will be deleted from our servers without a way of recovery. Though if you simply renew your server during that time, your files will not be deleted.

When can I renew my server again?

You can only renew a server when its remaining time is less than the renewal threshold defined by its server type. For example:

Server TypeRenewal Threshold (Hours)
Minecraft24 Hours
Vikunja168 Hours (7 days)
Discord Bot24 Hours
INFO

  • Minecraft servers can be renewed when they have less than 24 hours remaining before expiry.

  • Discord Bot servers can be renewed when they have less than 24 hours remaining before expiry.
